Morocco is investing roughly $685 million to establish a LNG terminal at the port of Jorf Lasfar according to Trade Arabia.
The government is hoping that this investment will help it meet its domestic demand for natural gas, which is expected to rise to 5 Bcm by 2020.
Construction of the LNG terminal is expected to start following the completion of technical studies and is scheduled to come onstream in five years.
