INP, the Mozambican oil industry regulator, has awarded multiple contracts for the acquisition of geophysical and geological data for oil and gas blocks onshore and offshore the country.
Spectrum was awarded the contract covering Tender Area 2 covering the southern Rovuma and northeastern Zambezi Basins offshore Mozambique, and has proposed a long-offset broadband 2D multi-client seismic survey. CGG was awarded three contract to provide gravimetric analysis of a large onshore area overlapping Maputo, Gaza, and Inhambane provinces.
Additionally, the government awarded two offshore areas in the Zambezi Delta and Rovuma Basin to both Schlumberger and CGG.
