Mozambique Creates Investment and Trade Agency

Monday, November 7, 2016

The government of Mozambique has created the Investment and Trade Agency. The Agency will be supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

This new Agency is the result of the merger in a single governmental body of the Investment Promotion Centre (CPI), the Office for Rapid Growth Economic Areas (GAZEDA) and the Institute for Export Promotion (IPEX).

The statute approved by the Council of Ministers further determined the extinction of the CPI, GAZEDA and IPEX with the purpose of fully concentrating in one single body the promotion of private and public investment, as well as of exportations.
