Maurel et Prom and Wentworth Resources received their first payment for gas delivery from the Mnazi Bay concession in Tanzania to the country’s new transnational pipeline. An average of 33 Mmcf/d was delivered to the new pipeline during October and a gross payment of $3.8 million has been received relating to last month’s gas deliveries.
Production volumes are expected to almost triple to 80 mmscf/d in Q4 according to Wentworth. Three of the five existing gas wells at Mnazi Bay have been successfully brought onstream with well performance in line with expectations. The fourth well is expected to be tied in during this month and the fifth well is expected to be tied in by Q1 2016.
