Namibia Seismic Data Now Available for Review

Wednesday, July 7, 2010

Chariot Oil & Gas has received the processed 3D seismic information in both time and depth for the Northern and Southern blocks following the extensive acquisition programs that were completed across these licenses offshore Namibia.

As previously noted, the 3D seismic programs were part of the largest exploration program undertaken offshore Namibia to date, totaling 4,500 sq km; 1,500 sq km on Block 1811 A & B and the rest over Block 2714 A & B.

Chariot said that it will now commence with mapping and interpretation of the data with an aim toward further defining targets for drilling.

The company also said that the surveys are now available in its dataroom in London.

Paul Welch, CEO commented: “This is a significant step forward for us in our exploration efforts. The quality of the data set is excellent, and has exceeded our expectations. This data will allow us to more accurately determine the volumes in all our prospects while significantly enhancing the potential for a successful drilling campaign – the next step in our exploration program. We look forward to showing this to prospective partners when they visit us over the coming weeks.”
