The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), Nigeria’s latest militant group to rise up out of the Niger Delta, claims to have blown up another Chevron well and oil pipelines near the city of Warri. Chevron has been the focus of the NDA’s wrath on more than one occasion over the past two or so months.
On its website the NDA claimed to have blown up a NPDC manifold, close to Banta, and two crude pipelines operated by the state oil company NNPC, adding that it also blew up “Chevron Well 10”, close to Otunana flow station. Chevron and NNPC were not immediately available to comment.
It was reported on July 4 that the group’s Twitter account, where it boasted of its attacks, had been suspended.
