South Africa has a new energy minister after president Jacob Zuma reshuffled the cabinet, his fourth in four years. Dipuo Peters, having served in the position since 2009, has switched places with Ben Martins, the former minister of transportation.
Martins served as minister of transportation for only around a year, although he served two years as deputy minister of public enterprises from 2010-2012.
Other positions that changed include the dismissal of housing minister Tokyo Sexwale, communications minister Dina Pule, and cooperative governance and traditional affairs minister Richard Baloyi.
