New Free Zone Planned for Nigeria

Nigeria’s Delta state is set to become the site of the country’s latest oil and gas free zone. Umana Umana, MD of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) disclosed the news at the end of an inspection visit to the proposed free zone to be located in Okitigbo in Warri.

Umana said he was excited at the enthusiasm and demonstration of readiness by the promoters of the new free zone, Awaritse Nigeria Ltd., to acquire an oil and gas free zone status for the state. Awaritse must meet OGFZA’s requirements to receive a recommendation, which is required before final approval of the operational license.
