New Regulations for Licensing of Petroleum Technicians

The government of Mozambique has new regulations on the licensing of petroleum technicians. The new regulations were approved by the Ministry of Energy by way of Ministerial Order No. 31/2014, dated March 19, 2014 and apply to technicians working in petroleum facilities covered by the downstream activities regime set out in Decree No. 45/2002, of December 28, 2012.

The technicians already on duty are required to register with the National Directorate for Fuel and obtain a license for their activities within 180 days of the date of publication of the regulations, September 15.
