The hits, and not the pleasant kind, keep striking Nigeria’s production. The most recent hit for the West African country’s flows was a force majeure declared on exports from the Bonny Light pipeline.
Shell’s Nigerian unit declared the force majeure on the export pipeline, citing a leak which has closed the Nembe Creek Trunk line.
This is just the latest disruption that has pushed Nigeria’s production levels to two-decade lows, and follows the force majeure on Forcados crude which is likely to last until June.
