Nigeria: Indigenous Opportunities Abound

Nigeria’s indigenous firms have a host of opportunities to participate in the petroleum industry in the country and those opportunities are growing. According to the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Simbi Wabote, about 80 projects will be open to indigenous oil firms in the next two years.

These 80 projects have a value of roughly $100 million.

Wabote made this disclosure in Yenagoa, yesterday during his remarks at the opening ceremony of the 2019, Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair, NOGOF 2019. Wabote told attendees that there were multiple opportunities yet to be harnessed by indigenous operators as policies have been designed to drive the implementation by operators
