Nigeria Production on the Rise

Nigeria is moving towards regaining its place as Africa’s top producer as its production levels rise. According to the country’s oil minister, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, production is now sitting at close to 1.8 million bpd.

The West African country’s production has been cut by militant attacks on facilities in the Niger Delta. Prior to the attacks it was producing at roughly 2.2 million bpd and its production for Q3 of this year was around 1.6 million bpd.
