Emmanuel IbeKachikwu, Nigeria’s oil minister, will not be attending the meeting in Russia this month according to Kuwait Oil Minister Essam al-Marzouq. Marzouq told reporters that the Nigerian minister would be unable to attend the OPEC and non-OPEC ministerial monitoring committee meeting due to a previous commitment.
The meeting is set for July 24 in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.
Marzouq added that Nigeria will probably be asked to join the technical committee’s meeting, which comes before the ministerial meeting, to talk about its oil production plans.
