Nigeria’s oil production stands at 2 million bpd, according to Maikanti Baru, the managing director of NNPC on May 2. Although according to OPEC figures, the country is producing at least 300,000 bpd less than Baru’s figure.
“This has been sustained for some time now, but when the pipelines were being attacked it went down to 1.5 million bpd,” Baru told journalists after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
