NNPC to Drill in Chad Basin

NNPC will begin drilling in Nigeria’s Chad Basin in early-2017. The state-run firm made the decision to drill based on the results of the more than 1,900 sq km of new 3D seismic it acquired and processed.

If drilling by NNPC is successful it could open up Nigeria’s inland basins to further exploration by not only the state-run firm, but from international and indigenous oil companies.
