Libya’s NOC announced that work has begun to connect all oil fields to the optical fiber communication network. The project is a join collaboration between the National Oil Corporation and the New Generation Company, while the contractor is the Advanced Infrastructure Company.
This project has been suspended since the terrorist attack in 2015 on the field. Prior to the closure, the field was producing about 34 thousand barrels per day before it was destroyed.
The Chairman of the Management Committee of Mabrouk Oil Operations Company visited the field recently to inspect the general situation, after which he gave permission to the technical teams to prepare and initiate the evaluation and cleaning operations to begin rehabilitation works
