The chief executive of Libya’s NOC, Mustafa Sanalla, travelled to Egypt to garner aid in repairing and expanding its dilapidated oil and gas infrastructure.Sanalla met with the Egyptian oil minister, Tarek El Molla, to discuss ways that Egyptian oil services companies might become involved in rehabilitating oil and gas infrastructure.
Also under discussion was the possibility of Egyptian service firms building new tanks, plus a host of other services such as training and organizing conferences and exhibitions.
Sanalla’s talks with El Mollah came seven months after he and Presidency Council (PC) deputy head Ahmed Maetig separately hosted Egyptian oil chiefs in Libya, where discussions centered around the return of Egyptian companies that had withdrawn. A joint working group was created to see how this could best be managed.
