Oando Negotiates with ENI on Refinery

Tuesday, May 16, 2017

Oando is negotiating with ENI as part of a project to rehabilitate the Port Harcourt refinery in Nigeria. The Nigerian firm should, if the negotiations pan out, collaborate with ENI’s subsidiary, Agip.

The project aims to bring the refinery back to its installed capacity of 210,000 bpd. Currently, the refinery produces at about 30% of its capacity.

Once rehabilitated, the refinery is expected to generate more than $5 billion annually.

Negotiations are expected to be concluded by the end of July, culminating with the signing a partnership agreement.
