Progress has been made on bringing production onstream at Nigeria’s OML 40, according to Eland Oil & Gas. The company reported that it expects to see production commence shortly.
Eland said the rehabilitation work on the Opuama flowstation has been completed and that it has entered the project’s pre-commissioning and testing phase. This phase includes the testing of the final section of the 12-inch export line, with the commencement of production to follow shortly.
Eland also said it is looking forward to the commencement of a successful drilling campaign in 2014 to develop the Opuama field.
