ONHYM Restarts Pipeline

Monday, September 19, 2016

ONHYM, Morocco’s state-run oil and gas firm, saw gas production restarted at its owned and operated gas pipeline spur in Morocco. An earthquake near the town of Kenitra in northern Morocco resulted in the spur temporarily closing for repairs.

The pipeline was closed while the repair work was designed and implemented. The repair was carried out by Circle Maroc without incident, on schedule and slightly under budget. Production was restarted through the repaired pipeline on September 15.

This pipeline spur was used to transport an estimated 30% of gas produced by Circle Maroc on the Sebou field.
