Ophir Close to Awarding Engineering Contract in Equa G

Ophir Energy has two consortia bidding for an engineering contract that covers the upstream portion of its Fortuna FLNG in Equatorial Guinea, according to a Reuters report.

Ophir said the upstream part of the project was “technically ready” for a FID and it has short-listed four potential partners for the downstream portion of the project.

Ophir has been searching for partners to help fund the Fortuna project following the exit of oilfield services company Schlumberger in June.
