Ophir Exits Seychelles

Ophir Energy has decided to exercise its option to exit its assets in the Seychelles, Areas 1, 2, 3 as provided under the farm out agreement with WHL Energy. Under the terms of the Petroleum Agreement, the blocks revert back to the Seychelles government.

PetroSeychelles formally notified the operator, PetroQuest International, PQI that the Petroleum Agreement from April 2014 relating to the acreage is terminated.

WHL Energy is currently in discussions with the Seychelles government to continue its participation in the blocks and will update the market in due course of the outcome of these discussions.
