Oranto Awaits South Sudan Results

Sunday, December 9, 2018

Oranto Petroleum has been busy in South Sudan since its award of an exploration license for Block B3 in March 2017. The company has completed an aeromagnetic survey over the acreage to date.

The firm is currently waiting for the interpretation of the data to give it an idea of where the most likely spot for drilling will be done.

Oranto will spend $500 million over six years in South Sudan to develop the massive block, which covers more than 24,000 sq km. The work plan includes seismic studies, minor, and major drilling according to company officials in South Sudan.
