Paon-5A a Success for Anadarko Off Cote d’Ivoire

Drilling in Cote d’Ivoire by Anadarko Petroleum resulted in success according to the company’s Q1 results. The company reported continued success in its appraisal program on Block CI-103 with the drilling of the Paon-5A appraisal well.

The Paon-5A, Anadarko’s first horizontal deepwater well, encountered approximately 100 net feet of vertical pay.

Anadarko plans to drill the Paon-3AR sidetrack well in Q2, followed by a drillstem and interference testing program to advance its Paon discovery toward commerciality
