Project Development International (PDi) has secured a £1.5-million contract with Nigerian oil service company Marine Platforms Ltd. (MPL). Under the contract PDi will provide technical support to the Agbami Phase 3 project operated by Chevron. The technical support includes transport, installation, and pre-commissioning of the project.
Due for completion in early Q2 2016, MPL has appointed PDi to support with onshore and offshore installation engineering activities in the Agbami field. The contract involves PDi working alongside the MPL engineering team in their Lagos office to provide both project and structural engineering services, as well as installation analysis and offshore support. PDi will also provide specialist support in pre-commissioning, survey, geotechnical, and procurement when required.
MPL has chartered the Polar Onyx and hired other project equipment to execute the offshore installation activities, with PDi providing the onshore and offshore installation engineering support.
