Perenco and its partners announced the success of its 2022 drilling campaign in the Litanzi Field, offshore Congo-Brazzaville. The drilling rig, Dagda, was able to place two pairs of producer-injector through complex, heavily faulted structures into the target Albian reservoir.
This development adds some 11,000 bopd, or a 50% production increase, to the PNGF Sud Fields taken over in 2017.
The associated gas from this production will feed the new 27MW Tchendo II Power Plant and distribute the energy throughout the offshore power grid.
The installed Litanzi 2 Platform, a converted jackup drilling rig in 100 meters water depth, exports its production to the Tchendo Platform. Proprietary technologies, developed and patented by Perenco, including pipe-in-pipe laid in catenary mode avoided the hazards and costs of saturation diving in this water depth and enabled the field to be redeveloped safely and economically.
