Petrofac Progressing Algeria’s Tinrhert Field Development Project

UK firm Petrofac announced that it is progressing the Tinrhert Field Development Project in Algeria. The company currently has around 1,000 personnel on the Tinrhert project site, where work is progressing safely.

Petrofac was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract worth $600 million with Sonatrach for EPC1 of the Tinrhert Field Development Project. EPC1 is expected to provide a new inlet separation and compression center.

The scope of work includes a pipeline network of approximately 400 km to connect 36 wells, along with commissioning, start-up and performance testing of facilities. The project is located at Ohanet, around 1,500 km southeast of Algiers

Petrofac has grown its presence in-country through a number of major EPC and engineering services contracts with Sonatrach, including the Alrar and Reggane projects that commenced production this year.
