Petrofac resumed its operations in Tunisia after the government reached a deal with protesters who had disrupted gas production for nine months. The company had told the government that it was shutting down operations because of protesters.
ImedDarouich, the head of Petrofac Tunisia, told Reuters operations had resumed on October 3.
Since the start of 2016, protests men have disrupted production at the site of the Chergui gas field on the island of Kerkennah in the south, where Petrofac holds a 45% share with the rest held by a state-run company.
