Petroleum Africa Names Indigenous Firm of the Year!

Friday, January 23, 2015

After a vigorous review process of Africa’s many indigenous oil and gas companies, the Petroleum Africa Survey Committee named its Top 10, narrowing it down to the winner and runner-up.

This year’s winner of the Indigenous Firm of the Year Award went to Seven Energy out of Nigeria for its well-executed work program and diversification strategy over 2014. This was the firm’s first appearance in the Survey’s Top 10 and its accomplishments certainly made an impression on our Committee.

Coming in as runner-up was SacOil out of South Africa. The firm not only added to its upstream holdings scoring near-production assets in Egypt, it also made significant accomplishments with its downstream program.

The full article includes more details on our two finalists and includes the Top 10; this feature appears in Petroleum Africa’s December issue. Write [email protected] if you would like to purchase a copy of the magazine.
