PFG and Daesh Clash Near Brega

PFG and Daesh Clash Near Brega Libya’s Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) securing oil ports near Brega terminal went to battle with Daesh (ISIS) militants. The clashes took place on April 23 and left one guard dead and four wounded.

According to reports, one of the guards wounded was Ibrahim Jathran, leader of the guards.

Fighting between PFG and a convoy of Daesh militants broke out south of the Brega oil terminal early April 23. A number of militants were reported killed and six vehicles seized.
