Just when Libya is seeing its production close in on 1 million bpd, a new threat erupts to forestall its production climb. More oil fields could be closed if protester demands are not met by NOC.
While protests have ended at other production sites across Libya, the protesters at the Abu Attifel continue their blockade. In recent weeks the protesters have also closed the Jalo 59 and the 103A fields and are threatening to shut in another field, the 103B field.
Protesters at the Abu Attifel oil field are demanding that NOC provide locals with hundreds of jobs.
