Reggane Set to Come Onstream by Year-End

Thursday, November 2, 2017

Algeria will add to its natural gas production totals before the end of the year with the launch the Reggane field. The gas field is expected to add 8 million cubic meters of production annually to the North African country’s totals, according to state-run Sonatrach.

“This project has a three-month delay, much better than Touat with an 11-month delay,” said Sonatrach CEO AbdelmoumenOuldKaddour. The Sonatrach CEO revealed recently that the Touat field would not be coming onstream until next year.

“We need to reach zero delay,” he told reporters during a visit to the Reggane gas field.
