Rosneft and ExxonMobil Score Three Mozambican Blocks

Russia and the US are teaming up in Mozambique in the form of a partnership between Rosneft and ExxonMobil. The pair won the access to three blocks in Mozambique’s latest licensing round.

Rosneft and ExxonMobil were awarded three contract areas: A5-B in the Angoche Basin as well as Z5-C and Z5-D in the Zambezi Delta. The US supermajor is expected to be the operator of the blocks.
