Rosneft’s Zohr Buy Closes

Rosneft closed the deal to acquire a 30% stake in the concessions agreement for the development of the Zohr field off Egypt’s Mediterranean coast from ENI. The cost of the Rosneft stake acquisition is $1.125 billion.

Rosneft has also refunded its share in past project costs to ENI.

The Russian firm becomes a participant of the project to develop the largest deep-water gas field offshore Egypt jointly with ENI and BP.
