Chevron Corp. and Rothschild are working together to sell a stake in the US major’s South African downstream business. Chevron is looking to sell a 75% stake in its South African unit.
The company is looking to net around $1 billion from the sale.
Chevron’s unit in South Africa includes a 110,000 bpd refinery, a lubricant plant, and it markets its Caltex-branded products through more than 845 filling stations.
