Saipem Launches New Plant at Rumuolumeni

Saipem’s unit in Nigeria, Saipem Contracting Nigeria Ltd., revealed its new ultramodern Double/Quadruple Joint plant at its fabrication yard in Rumuolumeni. The overall yard covers 724,500 square meters, with 483,500 square meters dedicated to the fabrication area.

Among the features are a structural and steel fabrication area, piping fabrication area, a heavy/light welding line, blasting and paint area and warehouse and bulk storage area.

The plant is part of a capacity development initiative and was unveiled by the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content and Development Monitoring Board NCDMB, Ernest Nwapa, at an event held in Port Harcourt recently.
