Samsung Wins $800 Million Algerian Contract

Samsung Engineering signed  a contract with the Groupement Timimoun (GTIM), a JV between Sonatrach, Total, and Cepsa for Algeria’s Timimoun Field Development Project. The contract is worth $800 million.

The Timimoun Field Development project is located 800 km southwest of Algiers. Samsung Engineering is responsible for EPC and pre-commissioning on a lump-sum-turn-key basis to build a 180-km pipeline and a central processing facility with a capacity of 177 Mmcf/d. The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
