Thursday, October 19, 2017

Total’s Al Jurf field offshore Libya played host to the head of the country’s state-run oil and gas firm NOC, Mustafa Sanalla. The NOC chairman’s visit follows the completion of maintenance works and the resumption of production at the field.

Sanalla and his delegation attended a lecture on safety precautions as a normal practiced procedure in the field and listened to an explanation on the ongoing replacement works of the flexible flowline between production platform and Farwha FPSO. The chairman and his delegation also listened to the details on inspection, installation and maintenance works that were made on some of the field’s units during the scheduled stoppage period.

Sanalla commended the workers and their efforts aimed at production resumption and sustainability. He also informed the workers of his personal interest on improving the services, the living conditions, employment privileges, training and qualifying the national personnel in different companies of the sectors subject to the available resources.  He stated that things would get better as long as production increase plans were going as scheduled and the positive reflections of that process on Libya’s financial position.

The field is operated by Mabruk Oil Operations, a partnership between NOC, Total, and Wintershall
