Sasol to Add to Retail Network

Monday, December 11, 2017

Sasol’s deputy general manager, Steve Cornell, speaking to End 24 said that the company would add 200 service stations to its portfolio. Currently the company has 400 service stations.

Cornell said that this goal corresponds to Sasol’s plan to increase its fuel production.

To acquire these stations Sasolcould enter into deals with other distributors in the market.

Bongani Nqwababa, another company official, said that while Sasol produces about 30% of South Africa’s supply, only about a third is sold by Sasol service stations.

“We have the impression that we operate on margins that do not match our retail capacity and our actual production capacity,” he said.
