Africa’s Sahel countries, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali and Niger will receive investment aid from Saudi Arabia. According to reports, the Middle Eastern country has set aside €100 million to support priority investment programs in Africa’s Sahel region, the state-run Saudi Press Agency.
Ahmed Qattan, the Saudi State minister for African Affairs, made the announcement at a donors meeting for the five-member Sahel group, held in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott.
