ENI’s CEO Paolo Scaroni met with Libya’s new Prime Minister, Abdullah al Thani. The key issue discussed in the meeting was the importance of maintaining and increasing the Italian firm’s current production levels in Libya.
ENI, jointly with NOC, operates the majority of Libyan production at this time, ensuring the generation of electricity for domestic use.
Following the recent evolutions in the international political scene, ENI’s CEO also underlined the growing importance of Libya to Italy’s gas supply security.
