SDX Updates Egypt Activity & Production

SDX Energy exited Q2 with production rates of 1,550 boepd thanks to the completion of successful workover programs at the North West Gemsa and Meseda concessions. In North West Gemsa SDX and its partners completed the Al Amir SE-24 development well. The well tested at a rate of 1,714 bpd of oil and 3.06 Mmcf/d of gas.

In addition, five workover wells in the Al Amir SE and Geyad fields were completed on the North West Gemsa. The workovers focused on wellbore maintenance.

At the Meseda concession, SDX completed an eight-well workover program that included tubing string replacements, well bore cleanouts, and perforation adds. It also completed a strategic initiative focused on development optimization and increasing production. Facilities optimization studies now underway.

Besides the work on the North West Gemsa and Meseda, the company’s 3D seismic acquisition in South Disouq was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. Seismic data processing is currently underway. A fast-track processing cube for South Disouq 3D on July 19. Preliminary prospect locations are currently being evaluated. It also completed a technical review of the prospectivity of its South Ramadan development concession. SDX is currently evaluating the project economics.
