Second Tanker Loads at Es Sider

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Libya’s eastern port of Es Sider saw its second tanker finish loading oil according to NOC, the country’s state-run oil and gas firm, since rebels handed the port back over to the government. The tanker finished loading on August 22 and left the port bound for Italy.

The first tanker loaded at the Es Sider port sailed on August 21.

Libya’s oil production has risen to 612,000 bpd, well above the mere trickle of 100,000 bpd, but far below its pre-civil war levels of 1.4 million bpd.
