Friday, June 24, 2022

Cederic Cremers, Shell’s Executive Vice President, LNG East, recently met with Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla to discuss the company’s operations in the country. During the meeting, Cremers stated Shell is committed increased exploration projects after conducting seismic surveys on its acreage.

Cremer said Shell is preparing a new work plan for further exploration drilling based on the data obtained in its seismic surveys.

In May Shell expanded its offshore acreage in Egypt picking up stakes in Block 3, offshore the Nile Delta. The company has looked to pare down its onshore acreage, specifically in the Western Desert, to focus on its Egyptian Offshore projects.
