Siemens Launches Training Program in Ghana

Sunday, February 26, 2017

Siemens Ghana launched an oil and gas training program to help the country to build energy capacity to cover its local energy demands, according to a report from Ghana News Agency.

Siemens’ training program is aimed at building Ghana’s human capital. Sixteen participants including three current employees of Siemens with various specialties in engineering were shortlisted across the country.

In 2016 the company announced it would be making significant investments in gas and steam energy generation projects in Ghana over the next three to five years. Siemens will roll out a series of projects, including new gas and steam turbines contributing hundreds of megawatts to the national power grid in Ghana.
