In northeastern Nigeria a female suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in the city of Damaturu. According to reports, the bomber was a teenager who had the bomb strapped to her body.
The explosion killed six and wounded an estimated 30 people.
As yet no one has claimed responsibility for the attack in Damaturu, however it has the signature of the Boko Haram tactics.
