In Ghana, an explosion at a fuel distribution site left scores injured and at least six dead on the evening of October 7. Billy Anaglate, a fire service spokesperson in a Reuters report, said that at least six people died and 35 were injured, mostly from burns from the explosion that took place in Accra.
The explosion took place at the state-owned GOIL site and sent up a giant fireball in the eastern part of Accra. Residents who did not flee the area on their own were evacuated.
