Smit Lamnalco Awarded Coral South Job

Smit Lamnalco was awarded a contract by ENI to supply integrated maritime services for the FLNG of the Coral South project offshore Mozambique. The execution of the contract will extend over a period of 10 years and will be mainly oriented towards logistics.

“We are proud that our extensive knowledge in providing marine services to offshore LNG facilities as well as our over five decades of expertise in local content development around the world have been recognized by our customer. We would like to thank them for showing their confidence in awarding us this contract,” said Robert Jan van Acker, Smit Lamnalco boss.

The FLNG plant is being developed to have a capacity of 3.4 mtpa and will process gas extracted from Offshore Area 4 in in Mozambique’s Rovuma Basin. The project is due to come onstream between 2022 and 2023.
ENI is the operator of the project with a 50% stake. The other CNPC, Kogas, Galp, and Mozambique’s state-run firm ENH partners on Offshore Area 4 are.
