FAR Ltd. reported that the first SNE oil field appraisal well, the SNE-2, has reached total depth. The well, located on the Sangomar Deep Offshore Block offshore Senegal, was spud on November 4 and reached its planned total depth of 2,825 meters on December 3.
Coring and wire line logging operations have been completed, with preliminary data confirming the original SNE-1 discovery. FAR said the results of the well are in line with pre-drill expectations. Preparations to test the well are currently in progress.
The company also reported that the 3D seismic survey over the Sangomar and Rufisque blocks has been completed and the Polarcus Adira seismic vessel has been demobilized. Final processed products from the survey are due to be delivered in Q3 2106.
Senegal JV partners: Cairn Energy plc (operator) 40%, ConocoPhillips 35%, FAR 15% and Petrosen 10%.
