SNE FID Expected in 2019

The industry should expect to see a FID taken on the development of the SNE field offshore Senegal in 2019 according to one of the partners on the project, Woodside Petroleum.

The announcement comes as partners involved in the project, which include FAR Ltd. and Cairn Energy, are expected to begin the FEED process at the end of 2018.

The project is expected to begin production in 2022 and will include 26 wells connected to a FPSO with a capacity of 100,000 bpd. A total of 240 million barrels of crude will be collected during the first phase of SNE’s development.

It is possible to add a number of additional development phases to the project, in addition to the development phase of the site’s gaseous resources.
